This project uses staged photography to look at the family photograph. I reconsider my parents’ relationship as an image. Working collaboratively with both my parents, who separated over fifteen years ago, I reimagine their relationship through photographs of improvised scenes.  I am repeatedly drawn to the image of my father as a protector, and my mother as the vulnerable.  This work does not draw on actual memories but is a contemporary inquiry into the mother and father as representations.
